In this dynamic, varied role you will lead, coordinate, and manage a team of administrative staff to provide effective day to day professional administrative support to underpin the educational activities within the Institute. You will also support the Head of Institute to develop and implement Institute strategy and manage the institute budget on their behalf.</p><p>The successful candidate will be a keen problem-solver with strong digital capabilities and demonstrate a willingness to embrace positive change, promote consistency and share best practice. &nbsp; We are looking for an excellent communicator who can build strong working relationships across the organisation. You will also need excellent management skills, with the ability to lead your team through change. The ideal candidate will be able to both deal with and understand detailed administrative processes whilst also seeing the big picture and working on projects at a departmental level.</p><p>What&#39;s in it for you?</p><ul type="disc"><li>Annual incremental increase up to &pound;43,482, with the opportunity to progress to &pound;47,389 subject to performance and the university reward scheme&nbsp;</li><li>Up to 36 days of leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays and University closure days) rising to 41 total days after 5 years&rsquo; continuous service&nbsp;</li><li>Access to a range of benefits including our Staff Retail Benefits Scheme&nbsp;</li><li>Wellbeing advice and support through our Employee Assistance Programme&nbsp;</li><li>In-house training and development support&nbsp;</li><li>A friendly, inclusive and supportive culture and work environment&nbsp;</li></ul><p>This role will lead the Professional Administrative Service (PAS) Team supporting the Institute of Arts and Humanities. &nbsp;It will be a full time role, primarily based at our St John&#39;s Campus (although some work at both City Campus and Severn Campus will be required), with some working from home (typically 1-2 days per week) a possibility, after successful completion of an interim probationary period of 3 months.
