The Department also hosts the Digital Innovation and Intelligent Systems Research Group.&nbsp;</p><p>Depending on qualifications and experience, we are able to offer this opportunity on either a Standard Academic Contacts (SAC) to include teaching and academic research or a Teaching Only Contract (TOC). For SAC, the successful candidate will hold (or be within 12 months of full completion of) a PhD in a related Computer Science field. This increase in demand creates several opportunities for individuals who are looking to gain work experience, becoming part of an additional summer team which plays a key role in supporting the smooth running of the university and contributing to several areas of operational support.<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>This role will require the post holders to be highly motivated and flexible when meeting the business needs across 7 days a week and have availability to work over the summer period between 31st July and September 2026.</strong> This type of paid work is an ideal way for individuals to enhance their CV. Training and support is provided where appropriate. Evening and weekend work will be required, and some activities may require an appropriate level of physical fitness.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Background</strong><br>The Facilities Department covers a wide range of services within University of Worcester, including Accommodation, Conferencing, Reception, Estates, Commercial bookings and Catering, Security Operations, which includes Cleaning, Campus Service, Grounds &amp; Security.             <p id="isPasted">Working alongside a team of tradespeople and maintenance operatives under the guidance of a member of the Estates and Maintenance Team, you will be part of the successful delivery of a reactive and planned maintenance service for all users of the University facilities.&nbsp;</p><p>You will deliver the very best customer service from a temporary repair to a project, placing the customers&rsquo; needs at the foremost of every job undertaken.</p><p>Using software to update the current status of all jobs issued and taking an active part in team meetings to ensure that best practice and estate issues are discussed openly.&nbsp;</p><p>The University Estate operates over a number of different Campuses with a GIA of approximately 80,000m2 with a diverse portfolio of buildings. The Estate offers a varied and challenging workload and the ability to solve problems and work under pressure at times is essential.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Hours of Work</strong></p><p>Working hours are 37 hours per week. &nbsp;There is a requirement to work 14 weekend days which will be subject to rota (paid at an overtime rate).
