Working whilst studying is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and training. You will work as an IT Support Assistant within the University’s IT Service. The IT Service comprises of three divisions: Governance, Design and Operations. This position sits in the Governance section and specifically within the Service Centre Team. Which key responsibility is to provide a critical first line support service, focusing on service quality and the relationship with customers. The successful applicant will work closely with a team of other student IT Student Support Assistants and the IT Governance team to deliver professional IT services to the students, staff, delegates and visitors of the University.

You will provide IT assistance and support to fellow students and staff in both the Peirson Study and Guidance Centre, and in The Hive. You will also conduct room equipment checks, escalating to relevant IT teams when necessary.  Using IT Service Desk software to log, categorise and escalate queries and incidents. Be the front face of the University of Worcester IT Service.

The post holder will be required to take part in a scheduled rota to provide service support during the University’s core support hours (07:00 until 19:00, 7 days a week) and must have a flexible approach to covering absence at short notice. 

The successful applicant will be required to work across all University sites, which are typically within 2 miles of Worcester city centre and will be required to travel between sites on a regular basis and must be a current University of Worcester student.
