Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Clinical Skills

The Three Counties Medical School (TCMS) at the University of Worcester invites applications from outstanding educators to join our growing faculty. As a school with a strong mission to widen access to medicine and retain graduates within the local workforce, TCMS offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a progressive, community-engaged medical programme.

This post is essential to ensure the high-quality, consistent delivery of Clinical Skills teaching and to support compliance with the General Medical Council (GMC) requirements. The role is central to the development of safe, competent, and patient-centred practitioners, particularly through preparing students for clinical assessments such as Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) and ensuring readiness for clinical placements.

The successful candidate will take a leading role in the design, development, and delivery of Clinical Skills education across TCMS. You will contribute to the development of innovative learning materials and simulation-based teaching and play a key role in assessment design and delivery. The post holder will work closely with Phase and Programme Leads to ensure a high-quality, integrated student learning experience.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate engagement with scholarship or research in medical education or a relevant clinical field and will contribute to the school’s academic community through research, innovation, or pedagogic development.

The post is offered at Clinical Lecturer or Senior Clinical Lecturer level depending on qualifications, knowledge, skills, and experience. Ideally, you will have experience of teaching Clinical Skills to medical or healthcare students. However, equally important is a commitment to developing as a medical educator, ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, and flexibility to meet the needs of a dynamic MBChB curriculum. Opportunities for professional development and educational leadership are available.

If you are interested in joining us at this exciting time and would relish the opportunity to shape the future of Clinical Skills education at TCMS as we train the next generation of healthcare professionals, we warmly welcome your application.
