This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding academic or practitioner to join a highly professional and motivated team to teach across our nursing programmes. The School of Nursing and Midwifery has a reputation for contemporary and innovative Nursing and Midwifery provision.  Our NMC approved programmes are nationally recognised for their high quality, student satisfaction, and sustained high employability of our alumni.

The focus of this post is on the delivery of our pre-registration portfolio including BSc and apprenticeship provision. The post holder will be expected to teach a range of core subjects and should have a flexible approach to the subject material they teach. The post holder will, therefore, be committed to promoting academic enquiry, helping develop critical thinking in students by supporting safe, effective and evidence-based practice. By providing expert knowledge, you will lead agreed modules, assess students and supervise projects. The post holder should be able to draw upon his or her own subject knowledge to design teaching sessions that maximise the integration of theory to practice.

The School of Nursing and Midwifery upholds the University mission to inspire those who teach and those who learn, in an inclusive way, which reflects a collective commitment to equip students and staff with the skills, knowledge and aptitude to make a positive impact on the health of the individuals, populations and communities we serve. The post holder will therefore be provided with the opportunity to advance their professional development to meet the needs of the post and objectives of the school.

This interview process will take place in two parts:

  • On-site teaching session: Thursday 23rd October
  • Candidates that are successful following the teaching session will then be invited for a remote interview: Tuesday 28th October
