Senior Lecturer in Education

The Department of Education and Inclusion within the Institute of Education at the University of Worcester wishes to appoint an outstanding and enthusiastic Senior Lecturer in Education.   The successful candidate will contribute to Education programmes across UG and PG, with a specific focus on PG programmes. They should be able to lead modules and areas of work confidently. They will take a lead on our MRES programme as well as be able to supervise on PG programmes. Applicants with experience in research supervision, research projects, CPD delivery and course outreach are especially welcome. Colleagues whose educational research and teaching may incorporate a specialism in mentoring and coaching and/or online pedagogy are encouraged to apply.

Programmes within the Department of Education and Inclusion feature the Foundation Degree in Teaching and Learning Support, BA (Hons) Education Studies, BA (Hons) Special Educational Needs, Disabilities and Inclusion as well as the MA Education, which has witnessed a significant increase in our international student recruitment. We have a new MRES programme, to which this role will contribute significantly. Further, with many of our colleagues having a doctoral degree or working towards one, the Department makes a contribution to our MPhil and PhD programmes. Specific expertise which will contribute to a range of courses within the Department and Institute will be expected. Given the nature of the role, and an expectation for a contribution to be made to the MA Education, the successful applicant will also demonstrate active engagement in research.

From 1st July 2025, the salary range for this role will increase for to £44,128 - £55,755 (with the opportunity to progress to £60,907) subject to performance and the university reward scheme.
