We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual to lead and support our University Community and Security Officers (UCSOs). As Team Leader, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our staff, students, and visitors. You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring all duties are carried out to a high standard and in line with departmental procedures.
The University Community & Security Team works to protect the University’s people, property, and reputation by preventing loss, damage, or harm through proactive presence and rapid response. This includes helping to deter and address incidents such as theft, vandalism, and anti-social behaviour.
Our team also plays an important part in fostering positive relationships with the local community. By supporting the work of the Head of Security & Operations and other University leaders, you will help ensure the University remains a trusted and valued part of Worcester’s wider community.
We are proud to be part of the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS), which recognises the important contribution our team makes to public safety. Accredited members of our team are granted limited legal powers that allow them to address local concerns, such as littering, public drinking, and anti-social behaviour, in partnership with the police and local authorities.
Please note that this is a shift-based role, which includes night, weekend, and bank holiday working across all University sites, including St John’s, the City Centre, and satellite locations.
