The University of Worcester offers a range of healthcare programmes including medicine, nursing, midwifery, therapy, and many other programmes. We work in collaboration with NHS trusts, GP practices, and private sector placement areas across the region. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Placement Support Team – Nursing, Midwifery, and Allied Health as a Placement Co-ordinator.
Working under the Head of the Placement Support Team, and working with a small team of co-ordinators, we are seeking an experienced administrator/co-ordinator who will be responsible for planning a range of healthcare placements and a range of related functions, including employer liaison, planning schedules, student advice and guidance, and maintaining the placement database. We have two posts available that will initially focus on a range of programmes in either of the following areas:
- Nurse associates, Social work, and Prescribing
- Three Counties Medical School
The role is best suited to candidates who can manage their own complex administrative and planning workload within the team, who have excellent attention to detail, and can work collaboratively across the university and with our external partners.
What's in it for you?
- Annual incremental increase up to £24,533 with the opportunity to progress to £25,742
- 32 days of leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays and University closure days) rising to 37 total days after 5 years’ service
- Attractive Local Government Pension Scheme
- Access to our Staff Retail Benefits Scheme
- Wellbeing advice and support through our Employee Assistance Programme
- In-house training and development support
- A friendly, inclusive and supportive culture and work environment
